ABB today announced that its Board of Directors will propose Claudia Nemat for election as a new board member at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 27, 2025. Concurrently, Lars Förberg has decided not to stand for re-election.

Her expertise in digital transformation, the business impact of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, and her focus on technology and product innovation will perfectly complement our board’s existing competencies, strengthening our ability to drive ABB’s growth and sustainability agenda.”

About Claudia Nemat
Claudia Nemat brings a wealth of global leadership experience spanning technology, innovation, and strategic consulting. She has served on Deutsche Telekom’s Management Board since 2011: from 2011 to the end of 2016, she led the company’s European business, and since January 2017, she has overseen Technology and Innovation, with responsibilities including networks, IT, product development, and information and cyber security. Prior to joining Deutsche Telekom, Ms. Nemat spent more than 17 years at McKinsey & Company, where she held the role of Senior Partner. She also brings extensive board experience, having previously served on the boards of Lanxess AG and Airbus SE. A trained physicist, Ms. Nemat studied at the University of Cologne and taught at the Institute of Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.

2025 AGM and Board Re-Election Details
In addition to the nomination of Claudia Nemat, the following board members will stand for re-election at the 2025 AGM: Peter Voser, David Constable, Frederico Fleury Curado, Johan Forssell, Denise C. Johnson, Jennifer Xin-Zhe Li, Geraldine Matchett, David Meline, and Mats Rahmström.
