The ABB FPBA-01 is a PROFIBUS DP fieldbus adapter module designed by ABB for its variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motor controllers. It allows ABB drives—such as the ACS380, ACS550, ACS800, and ACS880—to connect to a PROFIBUS DP network, enabling remote monitoring, parameter configuration, and fault diagnostics.

Supports both DP-V0 and DP-V1 communication protocols with automatic message type detection.

Compatible with PPO messages 1-8 and standard messages 1 and 2.

Enable the FBA function in the drive parameters (e.g., ACS350/355: parameter 9802 = EXT FBA, or ACSM1: parameter 50.01 = ENABLE) and set the node address and communication profile.
